Summer Riding Camp

Junior riders of all levels will have a blast this summer developing horsemanship in a safe, fun, and friendly environment. Every week is packed with activities: learning, special events, games, crafts, “Spirit Fridays” and more. All activities are horse-related, age/skill appropriate, hands-on, and nonstop!

CAMP HOURS:
9:00 am-2:00 pm, Monday-Friday
Complimentary 8:30 am drop-off for working parents (please give advance notice)

TUITION:
$425 per camper per week*
$50 non-refundable down payment will reserve spot for each weekly session
$90 per camper per day

*June 12-14 (3 days), $270; July 1-5 (4 days), $360

All campers will “Catch the Spirit of Riding” daily in our large, open-air arena as they take part in mounted games, relays, bareback riding, and “Show What You Know” days. Experienced school horses and individual attention creates a safe, educational, and fun riding experience for every camper.

New Campers

  • Riding every day focusing on safety, control and confidence
  • Ground and mounted safety
  • Equine care, health, behavior, grooming, and basic anatomy
  • Tack fundamentals and “tacking up” one’s own horse
  • The responsibilities of good horsemanship
  • and much more!

Returning & Advanced Campers

  • Introduction to more advanced riding skills and tack
  • Focus on horse and rider connection, rider independence
  • Intro to training and equipment, both ground and mounted
  • Daily and emergency equine care
  • Conformation, gaits, movement
  • Horse/rider show prep, performance, ring etiquette
  • and much more!

We limit the number of campers each week to ensure learning, safety, and fun. Sessions fill quickly, early registration is encouraged!

What to Wear (Proper Attire Required)

  • Helmet (we will provide for the week if needed)
  • Paddock boots or boots with a low (1”) heel and socks (no open toes, slanted heels, or fashion boots with studs, rhinestones, large buckles)
  • Breeches, “schooling” tights, leggings, or jeans (No shorts, capris, decorative pockets, rhinestones, slick/loose nylon pants)

What to Bring

  • Lunch in a zippered lunch container
  • Snacks
  • Water (please consider what your camper will need on a hot, active day)
  • Sunscreen
  • Beach towel
  • Hand sanitizer and/or disinfecting hand wipes

Policies

  • Camp is rain or shine.
  • All campers must have riding waivers, registration forms, and down payments completed by parent or legal guardian prior to the first day of camp!
  • No electronic devices. If camper must bring a cellphone, it will remain in the “cellphone box” at all times.
  • To contact your child, call camp director or head counselor at the number posted on the dry erase board. Your child will have instant access to their phone and will return your call immediately. Please encourage your camper to follow this policy.
  • Please put camper’s name on everything.
